Steel-dyed sculptural oak bowl form. Created using fresh, green, locally sourced oak wood. Cut with a chainsaw then mounted and turned on a lathe using hand-held gouges before being filled with her shavings and left to dry naturally and take her form. Once dry the piece was painted several times with a solution of steel and vinegar until the desired depth of colour has been achieved. Natural undulations and fissures. are a result of the drying process. Oil finish. 24 cm diameter x 12 cm tall.
